right around my last birthday, there was some point where i felt like my left hip needed to pop...but it never popped.

then i noticed that i was starting to get a shooting pain in my leg every time i tried to tie my shoe or climb up stairs.

a few weeks ago i had a dream that i had bone cancer, so when i woke up i figured i should make a doctor's appointment.

a few weeks later, a round of naprosyn and heat, and i'm still borked. i've got an appointment to get an MRI on thursday night. depending on what turns up, the orthopedic dr said i might need some sort of a shot in the groinal area where it hurts. i just hope that it's feeling better in time for me to stand all day long in 2 weeks. :(

in totally different news, i guess i got a promotion at work. at my last review, i mentioned the fact that i felt like it was time for a new job title. i mean, i've been doing this line of work for over 7 years, and still had what was basically an entry level job title. don't get me wrong. i feel fairly well compensated in opportunities and experiences and stuff...but i was starting to get annoyed every time i had to write down my job title.

so, i've been promoted!

it's raining like crazy. there was some crazy thunder at about 1:30am last night that woke me up. at first i thought i was hearing the aftermath of a huge explosion, before i realized i was hearing falling rain. not exactly the way i like to be startled awake. at least i have the dog to keep me company.
